A very nice example of two Knightia fish from the Green river formation U.S.A.
Two knightias on a square matrix,this peice is very aesthetic and is great for display with a good contrast of colours.
The Knightia is from the eocene period and was a double-armoured fresh water herring,with large scutes along its back and belly.Its fossils have been found in North America and China.
