A very rare example of a double Paramblypterus fish from the Permian period.
Extremely hard to find on the open market these days due to a ban on digging these fish which has been in effect for over ten years now, this specimen has come from a old german collection.
As these fish are rarely seen today for sale these specimens will only increase in value.
The Paramblypterus fish is a member of the primative Osteicthyan [bony fish].
Now extinct,Paramblypterus possessed some very primative features, most notably, its shark-like tail with a fleshy upper lobe.
To give perspectrive of exactly how ancient these fish are they were around before any dinosaurs roamed the earth.
No restoration to the fish, one repair to the matrix[as is usual with these fish] stabalised on reverse to protect from any deteariation ever taking place.
