A fine example of the fossil fish Knightia from the Green river formation U.S.A.
A lovely specimen with minimal restoration,the Knightia is from the early eocene and is a double armoured fresh water herring,with large scutes along its back and belly.Its fossils have been found in north america and china.
A fantastic display fossil or collectors specimen.
